Small Businesses Are Our Community
Noah’s Cutz & Stylz is located in the heart of Music City Mall, Lewisville, Texas. The owner, Noah, has always been a supporter of mine, and in fact, we are mutual supporters of each other.
I’m a huge fan of his business ethic and the outreach that he does within the community. When our shelter-in-place due to COVID-19 was finally lifted, and barbers and salons were allowed to open, one of my first calls was to Noah to get an appointment for my son.
I am so happy to see his business reopened, but on a different level of the same mall, another friend's business applied, but didn't receive federal grants, and had to relocate. Some local businesses have survived COVID-19, and heartbreakingly, others have not.
COVID-19 has had and will continue to have a comprehensive impact on our community in ways we have not even realized. The face of indigency will start to look a lot like our neighbors, and may even be seen within our own homes.
These businesses are the foundation of our community. I will prioritize developing our economic policies going forward to have positive impact on small businesses, who are our neighbors, friends, and family.
