Delia Parker-Mims is an attorney, public speaker, and Chair of the Denton County Democratic Party, where she has focused on grassroots organizing, voter registration, leadership development, and building the local party’s volunteer infrastructure. Under her leadership, the county has consistently been the largest county in the State of Texas to increase Democratic turnout. Denton County is especially important in Texas politics because of its size and rapid growth: the U.S. Census Bureau estimates more than 1.06 million residents in 2025, up about 18% since 2020. With a large and expanding electorate, Denton County can meaningfully affect statewide vote margins, making it a strategically significant place for both parties to organize, register voters, and compete for turnout.
